Project Summary:
Planning Boards have many hats to wear, and it can be overwhelming without some assistance. The Town of Springfield has contracted with the Commission to help its Planning Board.
The Commission will assist the Planning Board in routine performances of its duties such as:
- preliminary conversations with developers
- attending Planning Board meetings
- taking part in the review process
- making professional comments
- providing technical assistance regarding the merits of a project
- engaging in necessary correspondence on behalf of, and with permission of the Planning Board
- assist the Board in reviewing current procedures, regulations, and ordinances
