Energy
Energy Planning is a new endeavor of the Commission. We hope to assist municipalities with developing long-range policies to help guide the future of a local and regional energy system. Energy planning is often conducted using integrated approaches that consider both the provision of energy supplies and the role of energy efficiency in reducing demands. Energy needs and efficiency should set a framework for regulations in the energy sector. The Commission currently assists municipalities with Energy Master Plans and provides technical assistance in data gathering, prioritizing, creative funding and grant access to implement projects and technical assistance surrounding energy issues.
