Project Summary:
The Regional Transportation Plan explores the transportation system in the region and provides a policy framework that is designed to help municipal and state officials to make important desicions on transportation and other related issues. The plan contains goals, policies and recommendations endorsed by UVLSRPC transportation Advisory Committee.
This plan is constructed to conform with the general intent of the general intent of the intermodal surface transportation Efficency Act of 1991 and subsequent reauthorizations. It emphasizes a comprehensive apporach. considering alternative transportation opions along with standard highway imporvements. The UVLSRPC strongly supports an integrated appotach where all transportation modes are included and where a portion of all transportation funding is used to support and develop alternative modes.
