Project Summary:

The UVLSRPC Annual Planning and Zoning Conference provides training for citizen volunteers on local planning and zoning boards and for municipal planners and leaders by experts in their fields.  The conference agenda includes several core elements including organizing and governnance of local boards and a legislative and legal update. Special topics cover a broad range of matters that come befor local boards.

Arranging the Furniture

The session will review the basic, but essential governance and operations of the Planning and Zoning Boards.

Basics of Wetland Identification and Hydric Soil Properties

The session will focus on concepts and terminology related to wetlands that town officials need to know.

Legal Update  

A review of the NH Supreme Court cases and decisions affecting planning, zoning and land use regulations and the legislative changes that affect the responsibilities of both the planning board and zoning board of adjustment.
