Project Title:
Alice Peck Day Hospital Transportation Service Plan
Related Services:
Project Summary:
In 2010, the Upper Valley Lake Sunapee Regional Planning Commission organized a study to determine the most feasible and cost-effective way of providing public transportation services to Alice Peck Day Hospital in Lebanon, NH. Tom Crikelair Associates, a transit service design firm from Bar Harbor, Maine, was selected to complete the study.
The Alice Peck Day Transportation Service Plan considered four alternatives for providing transit services to the hospital:
- A Dedicated Paratransit Service;
- A Flex-Route Service linking Alice Peck Day Hospital with Centerra Park via Downtown Lebanon;
- A Fixed-Route Service linking Alice Peck Day Hospital with Centerra Park via Downtown Lebanon;
- A Realignment of Advance Transit's Red Route from Mechanic Street to Mascoma Street.
The study presents the costs and benefits associated with each of the transit service alternatives, and recommends a Flex-Route Service linking Alice Peck Day Hospital with Centerra Park via Downtown Lebanon for implementation.
