Quabbin to Cardigan Trail Initiative

UVLSRPC Projects

Project Administrator:

Rachel Ruppel

Project Title:

Quabbin to Cardigan Trail Initiative

Related Services:

Economic Development, Natural Resources, Transportation

Project Summary:

The Upper Valley Lake Sunapee Regional Planning Commission (UVLSRPC) worked with several partners in the winter and spring of 2012 to convene a series of public input workshops to explore the idea of a trail from the Quabbin Reservoir, in western Massachusetts, to Mt. Cardigan and the White Mountain National Forest. These workshops, which were open to the public, were held in Canaan, New London, and Keene. The goal of holding a series of public meetings was to generate the greatest amount of feedback  and interaction possible with the surrounding communities about the Quabbin-to-Cardigan trail.
