Sunapee Natural Resources Inventory and Conservation Plan

Project Summary:
The Upper Valley Lake Sunapee Regional Planning Commission (UVLSRPC) worked with the Town of Sunapee Conservation Commission to develop a Natural Resources Inventory and a Conservation Plan for the Town in 2009 and 2022.
The inventory work involved mapping and documenting natural resources, water resources, wildlife sightings and crossings, and conserved land and land enrolled in Current Use. In 2022 content was added related to climate change impacts, historical/recreational/cultural resources, and invasive species. Also, the Conservation Commission studied where multiple natural resources occur in the same location.
The conservation plan lays out priority locations and goals, as well as an ambitions action plan that the Conservation Commission can take to achieve those goals.
