The Upper Valley Lake Sunapee Regional Planning Commission has been providing professional planning assistance to municipal boards since 1963 when it was the Upper Valley Development Council. Our current expertise includes planning disciplines in transportation, natural resources, land use, waste management, emergency management, and community/economic development. As the needs of the region develop, the Commission pursues resources and technical expertise to meet those needs. The Commission is funded through a variety of sources in order to bring assistance to the region. Most often resources are available that produce a specific product or planning process and can only be used for those purposes outlined within contracts. Municipal dues assist the Commission in meeting matching requirements to bring these resources to the region but also to provide more general planning technical assistance.
If your community is interested in working with the Commission the Member/Community Services page will provide additional information about the services the Commission provides.
